Port Moody has exciting plans to launch their Let's GO! PoMo website soon with Mayor Joe Trasolini kicking off the initiative and entering the first steps.
Let's GO! will use walking and a variety of activities to build participants towards the goal of 10,000 steps per day to meet the provincial initiative 20% more active by 2010. CoreCommunity software will be used to track and motivate participants as they work their way towards better health. Port Moody is a progressive community and chose CoreCommunity to ensure their technological leadership in the field of active communities.
In addition to the health benefits associated with more physical activity, Port Moody anticipates additional positive impact to the community by promoting social networks and increasing community awareness.
