North Shore of Vancouver signs on with CoreCommunity

The North Shore of Vancouver, BC, will be the next Active Community to go live with the new interactive web software, CoreCommunity.

According to Anne Greenwell, the Active North Shore Network and the North Vancouver Recreation Commission believe CoreCommunity will be an essential tool in reaching their primary goals:

1. Promote active living
2. Promote healthy eating
3. Promote tobacco reduction

Anne Greenwell says they intend to have the website live to a pilot group by the end of the year with a full launch in early spring to help people achieve New Year’s resolutions related to improving their lifestyle. They will target individuals as well as already existing walking groups and use CoreCommunity to encourage new start-up groups in the community.
